dea and i had moose for the first time tonight at Balshy's. Stacia, Balshy, Collin, and us feasted on Moose, a wonderful balsamic vinegar with bread, and wine. a fine meal complimented by running water- good evening.
the Far North Film Festival was tonight as well, so we met up with martin, julie and dan after dinner on campus to view 10 of so films on conservation at the UAF auditorium. as with any festival of this nature, not every short strikes a chord, but a couple were entirely engrossing. one in particular dealt with grizzleys and wolves, and their quest for salmon during spawning season, in a slice of rain forest on the west coast in upper bc. the expedition was supported by national geographic, which of course gave it instant credibility. overall, a good night of conversation, ideas, and action. makes me feel inspired and small all at once.
