Talkeetna

i had Monday and Tuesday off, so Dea and i got out of town- headed South. we drove to Talkeetna- a sleepy little town off the beaten path. it's primarily a town full of climbers, moutaineers, pilots, and tourists. most of the fligts for Denali expeditions leaves from Talkeetna.
we planned to do a hike of a portion of Kesugi Ridge, but it rained for most of the trip. we did get to pick some wild blueberries just off the Denali Park Highway. also had a huge breakfast at the Roadhouse- it's all family seating, and we spoke with some interesting people. a few pics:
